Thank you so much for being here! I can’t believe that nearly a year after I started doodling bird bam herons and tourist jokers in my sketchbook, my Emerald Coast mahjong tile sets are here “in real life” (as my toddler would say).
Gearing up for launch weekend, I thought I’d reach out and answer all of your questions in one place, but if I miss anything, feel free to respond to this email or DM me on Instagram and I’ll try to get all your questions answered. Here are the ones I’ve gotten the most!

My launch parties are your only opportunity to preorder a set, which will be for party pickup only. Our Thursday party is SOLD OUT, but we still have tickets available Friday and Saturday. When you purchase your ticket, you will have the option of buying a ticket only or adding on a tile set, mat, or bundle of both. Click here for Friday ticket link and here for Saturday tickets.
What are the prices?
For the Friday Party:
- Launch Party Reservation — $100
- Reservation + Emerald Coast Beach Mat — $150 ($180 value)
- Reservation + Emerald Coast Mahjong Set — $500 ($550 value)
- Reservation + Mahjong Set + Beach Mat — $530 ($630 value)
For the Saturday Party:
- Launch Party Reservation — $50
- Reservation + Emerald Coast Beach Mat — $100 ($130 value)
- Reservation + Emerald Coast Mahjong Set — $450 ($500 value)
- Reservation + Mahjong Set + Beach Mat — $480 ($580 value)
Additional sets and mats can be added on at full price ($450 for set + $80 for mat).
Can I order and have my friend pickup a set for me?
YES! If you have a friend coming to one of the parties, you are welcome to preorder a set for them to pick up for you (make sure it’s ok with them first!). You can use this link and just include their name too in the name field on the form.
What is suggested dress attire?
Coastal theme encouraged but not required :)
Open play at the launch parties?
Yes! The launch parties will have tables set up with Emerald Coast sets for open play, as well as a few tables with products that haven’t come out yet (sunbather and camellia mats, Coastal Christmas). I’ll also have my (patent pending!!!) wave rack sample for folks to see in person.
What if I don’t play mahjong yet? Can I still come?
Yes, open play is optional. Would love for you to join us!
What else is included with party tickets?
Giveaways and swag bags! The Thursday and Friday parties will include apps and cocktails and live mahjong folio painting by my friend Bradley. The Saturday party will include two drink tickets and there will be a small menu of brunch items available for purchase.
Is there a photo opp background?
No official designated photo background, but between Bitterroot’s new event space and Happy Helium’s balloon arrangements, the whole party will be very photogenic. My friend Jamie Kamber will be onsite taking photos during the parties.
Tell me more about card folio painting.
My friend Jenn at Beach Mahj had me paint mahjong card folios at her event back in February and it was so much fun! I wanted this as an option for folks to purchase at my parties, but since I won’t be able to sit and paint the whole time myself, I asked my friend Bradley to help. She’s one of the most talented artists I know and she’s going to do an amazing job painting your card folios!
Can I buy a ticket and you can ship my set and swag bag?
No, sorry I have too much to keep track of as it is!
How do I order without coming to launch party?
The online launch will be Sunday, July 26th at 1:00pm CT. The link to purchase on my website will go out that morning in your email inbox.
What a perfect segue to…….
Online launch will be on my website on Sunday, July 26th at 1:00 pm CENTRAL TIME. As many of my tile boxes came damaged in transit from my manufacturer, there will be fewer tile sets available than I originally anticipated, but there will be plenty of mats to go around!
Is there a place on the website where I can see all the products available for purchase?
Yes! Click here to preview the tiles and here to preview the mats. They are currently marked as “sold out” but will be available for purchase on Sunday.
What are the prices?
Tile sets are $450 and mats are $80.
If I don’t get a set at launch, can I buy a damaged box?
I am still considering this! If replacement boxes can come in fairly quickly, I’ll do a restock in a month or two. If not, I may release the damaged boxes after I get all the launch boxes shipped out. I really appreciate all of y’all who reached out interested in this - hearing your thoughts has helped me a lot!
Can I buy just a mat?
Yes, mats and tiles will be sold separately!
What are the tile dimensions?
The center layer isn’t this color - this is my sample set! But the size is the same :)
When will Sunbather mats, Camellia Mats, and wave racks be released?
Probably mid-September but I’ll know more in about a week.
When is the holiday launch?
Stay tuned for Coastal Christmas full reveal in the next few weeks! These will probably launch in October, but I’ll let y’all know when I have a better idea!
